You can turn off features of your watchers that you don't want to receive....

If you click the icon of the man with the green light on the top right of the toolbar... and then click add/remove from the list that appears you can manage your watchers.......

Hope I explained that in a manner you can understand.... sorry I thought you knew....

I was not receiving the notification because I set up groups for all my friends depenfing on what kind of art they do. When I move some people to the groups the options change sometimes (I think it is a bug).

So because I did not have a checkmark in the Journal part of your listing I never got the notifications

...I think I cannot help... ...I don't writ my journal often; I don't like to talk about me or my life that much, (only if I really need) I think it is not interesting but sometime I like to feature my friends' pics...
